e-VIM

E-Data LLC offers weather alert service which allows to send information about weather conditions and status to vessels. You can use e-VIM without any additional software onboard.

e-VIM is the automated system that enables to track and store vessel position data. All the necessary navigational information ensuring maritime safety is sent to ships in real time. The notifications include the following:

• Entering MARPOL (International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships) special areas. MARPOL defines certain sea areas as "special areas" in which, for technical reasons relating to their oceanographical and ecological condition and to their sea traffic, the adoption of special mandatory methods for the prevention of sea pollution is required. • Entering specific zones providing weather data (Northwestern Europe only, involving the Baltic Sea and the regions from the Channel to the Kara Strait)
• Weather forecast charts (Northwestern Europe only).
